What I Am Reading

The findings from American Bible Society’s report beautifully align with Catholic teachings on stewardship, painting an inspiring picture of faith-driven generosity. While the study reveals that an impressive 94% of Scripture-engaged Americans are charitable donors, it reinforces what as Catholics and as Christian stewards we have been taught – that we receive God’s gifts gratefully and share them lovingly with others. The data showing lower-income households giving over 10% of their income exemplifies the Catholic principle that it isn’t about wealth or the size gift rather it is about putting God’s priorities and plan first. It is encouraging to see how this generosity creates a virtuous cycle!
